Indigo Audio produced journalist Jessica Leeder's narration and provided a voice-over for The Globe and Mail's acclaimed series on the plight of women in Afghanistan. Behind the Veil received a News Documentary Emmy Award, an EPpy Award for Best Web Special Feature and was also nominated for a National Newspaper Award.

Irene was an audio producer on the Emmy Award winning News/Documentary series Behind the Veil. She was the producer and narrator for the Globe and Mail’s Facts and Arguments podcasts for two years (rated the number #1 Personal Essay podcast on ITunes). Irene also worked on the Globe and Mail’s acclaimed multimedia documentary Dear Sweetheart. She is a writer and host for the Canadian Broadcast Sales CBS Report. She has also produced podcasts, promotions, ads and e-learning scripts for clients such as Random House, The University Health Network and numerous authors and academics. She was a producer on the award winning, nationally syndicated show Radio Heartbeat and co-creator/producer of the popular phone-in talk show Telepersonal Radio. She has hosted radio shows, interactive programs and podcasts. She has done voice-over work for e-learning modules, podcasts, radio commercials and phone systems. For over a decade she was a producer and the Team Leader of Customer Research and Product Hosting at Lavalife. She created a interactive talk show on the Lavalife by Voice to increase critical mass, customer conversion and create a feeling of community on-line. Irene has developed tutorials and entertainment features, conducted market research, on-line surveys and supported all product upgrades via scripting and special events. She was Lavalife's qualitative market research specialist for their for voice products. As an IVR expert, she redesigned and produced Lavalife’s phone testimonials for North America. A published writer, Irene’s stories have appeared in newspapers, on the internet and have been shortlisted for a book anthology. She has worked as scriptwriter and story editor in podcasting, e-learning, interactive media, radio and film. She also co-produced the award winning short film “Amplifier”.
